The Range Rover Evoque has just been revealed. All information, engines and prices for the Spanish market of Land Rover compact SUV.

Official: The new Range Rover Evoque has just been introduced and we already know its prices!

Range Rover Evoke front profile

Like more or like less, the truth is that the Range Rover Evoque has been the main pillar of the Land Rover brand in sales since its launch. And I say like it more or like it less because the Evoque is one of those cars that like a lot, or do not like anything. During this early morning we have known the second generation of the Range Rover Evoque and here we are going to discover it.

As we all knew, by intuition, by some information about the brand and, all, for some recent leaks, the Range Rover Evoque takes many features of its big brother , the Range Rover Velar, which has been so successful in these first months since its launch. And I'm not only referring to aesthetics, but also technology. Let's go in parts.

On the outside we find features of the previous model and the new Velar

 Range Rover Evoque lateral

It is clear that the Range Rover Evoque is not a pure all-terrain as a Defender , not even as a Range Rover. The Evoque is a compact SUV that rarely comes out of black asphalt. Like the vast majority of cars in this segment, it is an offroad aesthetic car, but focused on the road.

The external dimensions of the Range Rover Evoque are 4,371 mm in length, 1,904 in width, 1,649 in height and 2,681 mm in battle. The angles of entrance, exit and ventral are 25, 30.6 and 20.7 degrees respectively. The wading capacity is 600 mm and the ground clearance is 212 mm.

As we see in the images, the new model is still easily recognizable as an Evoque , because the proportions and main forms of the body are very similar to those of its predecessor, the current model. However, Velar inherits a lot , and it also seems to be a Velar a little bit smaller.

 Range Rover Evoque rear profile

Among other details we can highlight the similarity with its big brother in sections such as the frontal features , where we can mention the grille or the LED optics, the rear lighting or the small roof spoiler. Of course, we do not forget the door handles , which are flush with the body.

A more careful and technological interior

What is seen on the outside, with many similarities to the Velar, is reflected in the passenger compartment. The interior design is also very similar to that of his older brother, finding us with a fully digital instrument panel behind the wheel, and two screens in the central area of the vehicle: one will be focused on the entire > Infotainment system and the other, apparently, to the configuration of the climate control and some comfort elements.

 Range Rover Evoque interior design
Although it will depend on the finishing and optional levels chosen, the Evoque interior, at less visually, it transmits a level of quality much higher than that of the current generation.

The growth of external dimensions has its repercussion in the interior .The new model will be much cleaner and more efficient than before, using mechanics adapted to the new times and using the micro-hybrid system at 48 volts to reduce emissions and, why not, to obtain certain tax advantages . The range will be composed as follows:

Denomination Change Traction Power and Torque Consumption (estimated)
Denomination Change Traction Power and Torque Consumption (estimated)
TD4 150 Manual 6v Front 150 PS and 380 Nm 5.4 l/100 km
TD4 150 AWD Automatic 9v 4 × 4 150 PS and 380 Nm 5.6 l/100 km
TD4 180 AWD Automatic 9v 4 × 4 180 HP and 430 Nm 5 7 l/100 km
SD4 240 AWD Automatic 9v 4 × 4 240 HP and 500 Nm 6.2 l/100 km
SI4 200 AWD Automatic 9v 4 × 4 200 HP and 340 Nm 7.7 l/100 km
SI4 250 AWD Automatic 9v 4 × 4 250 HP and 365 Nm 7.9 l/100 km
SI4 300 AWD Automatic 9v 4 × 4 300 HP and 400 Nm 8.1 l/100 km

As you can see, the brand will launch four mechanical diesel versions for this new Range Rover Evoque, with powers of 150, 180 and 240 HP; as well as three versions of gasoline , with 200, 250 and 300 HP. Except for what will be the access version, all the others have a nine-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. Land Rover has reported that, later, a plug-in hybrid version will arrive using a 1.5 cylinder block.
