The next McLaren Senna GTR will be the perfect circuit machine

McLaren Senna GTR

At the end of last year we were able to meet the McLaren Senna , one of the most exclusive and radical sports cars on the market. With it, the Woking brand showed the world that it was capable of creating an even sportier model than the P1 . However, to increase their aura of exclusivity they have decided to give a twist to the concept. In this way, the radical McLaren Senna GTR is born.

The GTR version of the Senna will arrive soon, although it will soon be revealed in the next Geneva Motor Show . To give life to this model, the engineers of the brand have been inspired by the concept Senna GTR that we saw in Geneva this year. However, to encourage the faithful, the brand has decided to publish a sketch and some technical data.

What secrets lies the McLaren Senna GTR?

At the mechanical level, the McLaren Senna GTR will have a gas block V8 biturbo of 4.0 liters of displacement. It derives from the one used by the "normal" Senna, although in this case the power has increased to 825 HP and 800 Nm of maximum torque. The benefits have not been revealed, although they must necessarily be better than those of his brother. The reason, derived from a drastic weight reduction (figure not confirmed). For this they have removed elements such as the infotainment system, the airbags or the instrument panel display.

The aerodynamic is another element that evolves exponentially. To offer a downforce of 1,000 kilos it has a front splitter and larger rear diffuser. Next to them, a redesigned rear spoiler works which, according to McLaren, maintains active aerodynamics. As a whole, at low speeds the grip increases, improving the speed of passage by curve and the stability of the set.

The McLaren Senna GTR technique> It is also altered, because although the suspension maintains the double triangle scheme, it inherits components from the McLaren GT3 . Among them are the parameters (geometry), dampers, springs and stabilizer bars. To these elements join a monotuerca alloy wheels and slick tires signed by Pirelli.

When will the Senna GTR come?

The production of the Senna "Street" will end in the second half of next year. Then, the GTR version will arrive on the assembly line, and customers will be able to enjoy it in September. Only 75 units will be produced at a price of 1.25 million euros, plus taxes. The problem is that if you are thinking about getting one, I am sorry to tell you that they are all exhausted.
